ABOUT
HELEN OLIVIA REDMOND
(b. 1955, Warwick, Australia)
Helen Redmond lives and works in Sydney, Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from the National Art School.
Helen’s painting practice is the natural outcome of a lifetime steeped in architecture. Trained as a journalist and interior designer Helen joined Vogue Living as a design editor and interiors stylist, including 12 years as Melbourne Editor. Working alongside architectural photographers over several decades shaped her understanding of light and space and honed her aesthetic. Her ongoing interest in the ‘psycho-geography’ of space led to the decision to leave publishing to explore a more visceral mode of expression through painting.
Helen is represented by Otomys (Melbourne/London) www.otomys.com
